For those wondering: This happened on Feb. 6, 2022 in West Palm Beach, Florida. The woman that died was a 79 year old grandmother named Carol Wright. She fell 5-6 stories onto concrete to her death. The bridge operator, 43 year old Artissua Paulk was sentenced to eight years of probation and 200 hours of community service, but avoided prison time Edit: I did not mean to start a war in the replies, but from what I read from local news stations she fell on a literal concrete slab. For those wondering: 12 year old Catherine “Casey” Fish died on June 4, 1999 after choking on four marshmallows during a contest taking place at a school.
