“This channel is so inspiring. It's proof that anything is possible with enough imagination, hard work, ambition & tenacity. From on-the-fly DIY projects to master tradesmen & artists at the top of their crafts, the amount of creativity & skill on display is absolutely incredible. Well done to everyone who has contributed to the Portugal & Zimbawe homesteads so far.👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 Can't wait to see what's next for both properties!”
“The AI render of the finished house with landscaping and stone work - WOW!!!! Just beautiful.”
“An ochre is a great option for an earthy yellow. It was be a richer color next to the stone. The windows are looking amazing!!”
“Of course, you were going to find a tape measure on the day the not garage is getting demolished. That was so funny 🥰”
“Wow, no negative comments from me!! You are building a castle that will last thousands of years! Not many people could do that in their wildest dreams. Bravo to your beautiful family and letting us witness your vision, unfolding into a magnificent reality.”
“Having watched your journey since you first opened the Green Door and travelled in your caravan, it has been incredible to see how much your vision has grown. Now, watching you build and revive two completely different homesteads—in Portugal and Zimbabwe—has us well and truly spoiled for choice! The sheer grit, creativity, and boundless energy you bring to every project as a young family is remarkable. Even when facing the raw, unfiltered challenges of managing two distinct properties across the world, your authenticity, optimism, and joy shine through every video. Thank you for continuing to bring us along for the ride and sharing every step of this amazing adventure with us. Keep working your magic—we can’t wait to see what you tackle next! 🚜✨”
“That big arched window is absolutely stunning xx”
“I don't know which of the two locations I love the most. But I am looking forward to seeing more progress in Portugal, but seeing the magic that Zimbabwe is going to become. With all the talented artists you found to work with you out there.”
“Your proposal for hosting a few tourists is very appealing. Exactly as you described. I would definitely consider it.”
“THE rusty orange in the stones look so beautiful. Something between the roof and stone. I just love your show so much. You both are Angels on Earth.”
“Wow wow i absolutely love the artwork on the shower!!!!! ❤❤❤”
“Dear Tara and John, you thanked us, but in turn I want to thank you for spreading positive, genuine, loving and kind energy to all of us who have been following your beautiful journey. In a world that can be quite unstable your family brings us smiles and joy and reinforces us with how wonderful humanity really is. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Many hugs! ❤”
“These workers are so good at what they do.”
“I'm 100% on board with that idea. We have never visited Portugal, but watching your channel has made us fall in love with the country, and it's become our dream to retire there someday. We would be truly honored to visit and meet you both. It would be an incredible opportunity to experience Portugal through the eyes of people who have inspired us so much.”
“Marcus and Daniel are amazing”
“All of your worker family are incredible. But, Marcus builds as if this is his own home. What a craftsman. 💜”
“Awww Obie ❤ Beautiful color on the house!”
“OOOOOBI 🤸🏻🤸🏻♀️🤸🏼♂️ I didn't expect to get emotional seeing him. 🥹 He missed you so much...💕🐾💕🐾”
“I love that the stone house looks like it's been there for centuries. The new color is perfect!”
“Limestone tiles. More neutral, more refined and it'll make the space feel bigger and brighter. You never know what the future holds so I'd also consider what a potential future buyer of your home would prefer.”
“What a craftsman Marcus is. Day in day out. Always with those heavy Stones. And delivering beautiful work.”

Hi Tara and John Thank you for sharing your life with us. Sometimes people will get confused as subscribers and think they own the right to criticise you. I'm just in awe that you have the energy and the nerve to tackle TWO major builds in TWO different countries on TWO different continents while raising TWO highly energetic boys. Hats of to you.❤
When you uncovered the lion's face, it brought tears to my eyes. . . The details and craftsmanship that Amos put into this work of art are absolutely incredible. Both the lion and the rhino look so lifelike. Amos. . . you are absolutely amazing. ♥🦏🦁🌳
As a fan of Obie, I’m putting it out there that I hope a sponsor offers him an automatic ball launcher—and maybe a collar-mounted camera, too! 😁 Obie the camera-dog. Just imagine that video where Crusoe runs away from the drone; it would have been so funny to see Obie’s perspective as well! 🤭 I love all the work you've been doing.❤
Love all the tiles! Kofi’s combo of color has a slight edge over all of them. 😊
I am in total awe of those men they're amazing ❤
Make sure to remove the window stickers asap or they are much harder later. And don’t be afraid of color! A deep terra cotta would be beautiful! Love the windows ❤
You have a vast property in Portugal that needs to be managed year round, especially during the hot summers, which now have become the norm. With the state of the farm at the moment, it would not take much for a fire to sweep through. Bottom line you need an onsite manager year round, especially if the next year you will be spending more time in Zimbabwe, with the boys at school
❤Kofi won!! Those guys have a natural feeling for color! Love it! 🎉
Oh my word! How talented is Amos😍. Loving the whole atmosphere and laughter generated by everyone especially John and Kofi. They are becoming stars in their own right!!!👍
Amos; you have created the most spectacular sculpture.. it is in a perfect location .. you are genius.
