“Great Minecraft video!”
“I really like having a stand alone WAN Show channel. However I understand that it can be challenging standing up a brand new channel. As such, I already have the bell on. I have smashed that like button, & this is my comment of engagement. That’s all I got folks. Good luck.”
“I loved the Minecraft livestream! edit: uhh how tf did i get 600 likes”
“The power of minecraft.. Confused Luke”
“Thanks for sorting out the WAN show channel and getting a channel that is just WAN. I only like to watch youtube from my subscriptions. I use unhook to not show me recommendations or the sidebar. I'm tired of algos dominating my life and controlling my feelings. I still want to watch things, but only things I choose deliberately, and having my subscriptions get flooded out was just untenable and I was concerned I would just stop watching entirely. So I'm glad you guys decided to do it this way.”
“Dear algorithm, this is the place to be, please let people know”
“I can't believe Linus is alone with 4 chicks while his family is away”
“I still miss when "after dark" meant dimmed lights.”
“Didn't even realize something was amiss in the beginning until the intro rolled lmao”
“Great show as always. But what's the point of dressing up the set/desk if you're going to slap a banner right over top of it for the entire show? I can barely make out it's supposed to be a campfire. I assume that the crew did a great job and that it looks amazing, can't confirm though.”
“Time stamp guy, please bless us.”
“linus stop reading the comments, you have better things to do right now”
“This stream felt like finding diamonds in Minecraft!”
“Wth is Linus doing with my water bottle!? I bought that water bottle, it's mine!!! Hope you have your lawyers ready little man.”
“My TWENTY YEAR OLD VW Passat diesel holds the brakes whhen it comes to a stop. Uphill, downhill and on the level, and releases when you press the accelerator. Every car should have this by now!”
“I was watching on twitch, I think a part of why the viewership was low is partly what I experienced. Even though I subscribed, I hadn't put on the notifications because of YouTube's stupid thing where it starts off with "personalised" notifications, whatever that means.”
“Watching this, literally, while playing Minecraft”
“Ok Linus you explained why you did the static plate thing, but WHY WERE YOU SHIRTLESS UNDERNEATH?”
“I would like to once again thank Microslop for creating such amazing advertisement for Linux!”
“I woke up, opened my YouTube feed, noticed the WAN Show was missing, and got scared for a second that it was the wrong day and I was supposed to be at work”
“The minecraft thing is both forward thinking and not. The old system requirements were long since obsolete and not representative of the current state of the game, so they needed an update anyhow. However, minecraft is also notorious for having a static memory allocation of 2gb of RAM by default. Changing the JVM arguments to increase this limit has long been a protip among modded players hitting stutters. Now seeing the RAM requirements being different between minimum and recommended, I hope this means the hard allocation will soon be gone. This also coincides with a future update that will introduce Vulkan and ditch Open GL, which I assume is the main reason behing the system requirements update.”
“1:06:14 -- I'm going to EMPHATICALLY disagree to your point on the Lord of the Rings. While there is certainly CGI, WETA Workshop made some of the craziest props ever for that trilogy. The attention to detail, and the reliance on real environments only allowing CGI where absolutely necessary is exactly why those films aged *exceedingly* well. Linus needs to watch the behind-the-scenes for those films.”
“Timestamp guy is family so he also left Linus to go overseas for vacation. /s”
“Give Halo to Valve. It's already past Halo 3, so they should be able to crank something out in a reasonable amount of time.”
