@z-mz5vy9.6Klikes1 commentThat's not deans son "jack" is lucifers kid but sam, dean and castiel are jacks father figures and he thinks of each as his actual father in this scene they didn't want jack to kill that guy and their words weren't getting through so dean shot him to get jacks attention and make him realise how serious he was being when he repeatedly tried talking some sense into him but dean 100% knew his gun's basically a water pistol to the son of the actual devil that's why there was no hesitation the idea was to show jack just how far off the rails he was acting at the time dean showed us he wouldn't really hurt that kid when he was giving the perfect opportunity, weapon and a 100% justifiable reason to kill the kid he couldn't do it because he genuinely loves him
