“My parents bought their first and only home right before I was born. I’m 46 years old. They paid that house off in less than 8 years, which I know was a lot easier to do back then but they’re still in that house now & they’ve been retired for years. All the money that they saved by not having a mortgage and staying in that same house is such a blessing at this stage in their lives. They raised my brother & I in that house. Not always a bad thing to make your starter home a forever home”

“After a devastating California wildfire in 2018 we had to clean our house which survived (a whole other story!). We touched and cleaned every surface and every item in a 2800 square foot house. If I didn’t love or use an item then it was donated. It was liberating in a way because I had some control in an out of control situation. Fast forward to 2026 we now live a minimal style. Stuff does not matter!!!”

“Karrie ,I have a suggestion about your clothes that don’t fit. I have the same problem. My weight also fluctuates. I bought roll away bins to fit under my bed. We are only supposed to keep clothes that fit us now in our closet. Having maybe clothes put aside gives us more room in our closet. I love your energy. You are truly an amazing mom. Have a great holiday.”
