“I live in an apartment with a small balcony........invaluable. My experience with a management company and a freeholder is that you have to fight your corner. Dont give up. Get a group together and demand a meeting with your property manager from the Management Company. Get a proper explanation, check your lease and dont give up!!”

“I was at the Lauder event and loved every minute. I must say I expected it to be cancelled after seeing your vlog on Sunday, or maybe for Nadine to do it on her own , but you are such a trooper. Thank you so much for going ahead despite your injuries. We all really appreciated it. If there are more of these events in the future I highly recommend everyone on here to try to attend, it was such fun and also learnt a lot too. Take care Jo, glad you’re not overdoing it! X”

“What happened to the planters/furniture (assuming paid for with communal funds) on the roof terrace? All tenants/residents had keys which strongly suggests that access was not accidental or unauthorised. Even if the lease does not expressly grant access, the terrace appears to have been treated as an established amenity of the building rather than a private or restricted area. You should write collectively to the managing agent and ask them to confirm who authorised the change of locks, what happened to the planters/furniture and the basis relied upon for withdrawing access from residents and leaseholders without consultation. They should also be asked to confirm whether the withdrawal of access is connected in any way to any proposed roof, airspace or upward development, or any intention by the freeholder to preserve or assert development rights over the roof area. Unfortunately, if the lease does not explicitly grant roof access and access has merely been permitted historically, the position may be less straightforward. However, the fact that residents were given keys and the terrace appears to have been used as a shared amenity means it is entirely reasonable to ask for a clear explanation before accepting that access can simply be withdrawn.”

“Jo, we love watching you for who you are. Love the pace. Forget calm. Just be you. If someone wants to watch Lydia M then let them. Not sure why you idolize her. She should be looking up to you . Love Cerave. Looking forward to your Sheerlux show and countdown. Celebrate who you are and give up apologizing for who you are not. Looking forward to next week.”

What a lovely man, he was sincere and genuine. I could bang on forever. Gorgeous, apologies if I seem a bit of a stalker but he impressed me so much and he adores you Jo 🥰🤩❤🐾🐾🙏🏽”

“Happy birthday! When my heart was broken after a long relationship, my best friend took me to a cat cafe. It was the best thing! When the no pets policy changed a year later, in my building, I adopted a fire rescue kitty. 'So wonderful. I love dogs and cats (and many other animals, of course).”

Hey Jo! I've just been watching, along with my husband. As it happens my husband is a health and safety consultant, dealing in property, and he's so outraged by what we've watched he's offered to investigate this for you (at no cost) as it's something he comes across time and again. If you're interested, you could reply to this post. I will give you his email address and you could contact him with photos of the roof terrace, access to same and if you're happy to, the name of the property management company. Health and safety is quite often used as a blanket excuse to prohibit an activity that has had no previous associated risks or incidents and decisions are made by unqualified or over zealous risk averse persons!! I'll leave it with you. By the way, absolutely love your vlog!! x

As a biologist, I have to say this is complete nonsense — the idea that “drinking too much milk with coffee is bad for you.” I drink a pint of it, and it’s perfectly fine. You do not lose the milk-digesting enzyme (lactase) just because you drink a lot of milk. Waitrose organic milk is the best! And Jo, I’m not telling you off — it’s just that some so-called wellness or nutrition “experts” really don’t know what they’re talking about. Some people naturally don’t have the enzyme, or have very little of it — those people are lactose intolerant. But for everyone else, drink milk! Calcium from milk is absorbed much better than calcium from supplements.

You should be able to claim on their insurance company upstairs to repair the cracks on your ceiling, floor and walls. It's their responsibility legally to fix all of the damage. The electrics in the ceiling light is probably damaged also. Get it all checked by an surveyor and put a claim in. Get their insurance details upstairs from the tenants or the landlord. Or get your insurance company to come out and inspect the damage to enter a claim against them. There's no way you should be paying for any of these repairs and redecoration.

Congratulations! I bought my first apartment recently at 62, totally on my own and it's an achievement worth celebrating. A lifetime of happily renting, which I realised just in time became a precarious way to enter this last chapter... feeling a little more secure now. And how fun to finally decorate as I wish!

Get the fire brigade to do a fire safety check for your building as that door is a fire exit so should not be locked .
