“The anti-deception clause feels more like a "You're not slick we know what you're doing" rule than anything. I mean, it's not like randomly replacing the game ball was ever legal before anyway. One new thing the clause does though is prevent using an extra ball to fool the runners while a teammate gets the REAL ball and actually makes the play.”
