“It’s funny hearing them talk about how much green they’re seeing and the size of our parks meanwhile I was mindblown by how huge Yoyogi Park and Shinjuku Gyoen was in the middle of all that Tokyo metropolis when I visited recently. Also, I really like you bringing them to like the non-touristy spots.”

“Speaking as a personal friend of Andrew, he has always taken the path less chosen, and this is one of the traits I really admire him for. And I can tell you he’s so much happier now living in Malaysia. I hope we all can strive to find happiness in our own journeys, wherever or whatever they may be, instead of sitting around and judging just because you cannot achieve that happiness in the present.”

“I met a Grab driver while coming back from holidays. He has a house in Nagaoka in Niigata and would constantly take 3-6 months out staying there and then coming back when it starts snowing heavily. The good thing about having a house in another country is totally the choice of having an escape. Changing environment is a great boost to mental health.”

“Not practical for normal ppl, no vehicle very hard to travel around there. You are lucky because your viewer who lived there saw you and kindly offered to fetch from terminal and the lady is kind enough to fetch her customer to the terminal, for other ppl, it will be a challenge to find ride.”

“As a Singaporean Millennial, I felt bad when Ghib-san started giving a brief history lesson about WWII to the kids. To the Youth of Japan and perhaps the victims, China, Korea and SEA. The wrong doings of Japanese ancestors ends at their generation. The young today do not have to feel the guilt nor have to carry it with them. But it is also important to be informed about it so that history does not repeat itself. Do not feel guilty and we should not bear a grudge. Progression will never happen if we keep holding on to the past.”

“Sushi express used to be the unbeatable budget king Sushi but after they start introducing the $2 dollar plates and more. I won't say they are budget anymore. They got more expensive while also reducing quantity on some of the plates. You probably will spend the same amount of money at Genki with better quality and variety.”

“bro is a true idealist. not going to judge, because my thinking is completely different from him. Too much risk uprooting whole family to a new country with one of the strongest language and cultural barriers to foreigners, going to Toyama which is a super niche city, with zero hotel background, zero biz background, and putting so much capital into this. But i wish him well, a lot of money and time/effort at stake here. Hope Japan can consider giving him an exception and reverse their decision.”

“Reasons I would choose to take a train 1. Cheaper 2. I don’t have to be at the airport 2 hours prior. 3. There might be flight delays 4. Going through the immigration and getting the luggage can be cumbersome especially during peak season 5. Traffic jam from the airport to KL and that journey can take up to 1 hour.”
