“A Native American designed the Redskins logo, Walter Wetzel. He was chairman of the Blackfeet tribe, a native rights activist, and served as the president of the National Congress of American Indians. The design was based on a side profile of a Blackfeet chief. He designed the logo specifically for the team and gave it personally to the team owner back in the 70s. If anything, it’s more insulting to native culture to take it away.”
