“11:27 - The lads are drinking latte’s and Ian has a pot of tea with a little milk jug ❤”
“Sunak didn't just have a rich wife, he was from a fairly well off family himself, even as a teenager, mister "I have all sorts of friends, even working class... well, no actually, not working class". It's not that people disliked Sunak because he wasn't being himself, its because he was extremely unrepresentative of the people he made decisions on behalf of to begin with.”
“There is also the situation that women like me have been unpaid care-givers for more than one relative, have no savings, don't own a home, and because of part-time and ad hoc work, not enough contributions for a state pension. I now care for my husband who has PIP, a small private pension and a state pension. If he predeceases me, I'm buggered and if I predecease him, he's buggered.”
“We were, and are, propping up a system that was intentionally busted up for profit, not morality. I had to do that for over thirty years, thanks to the NHS run local care facility being closed down in favour of private, which I couldn't afford. Caring for someone who has dementia as well as other disabilities is NO HOLIDAY, and ten years after she passed, my physical and mental health is still shattered and sleep interrupted by nightmares within which I am right back there again. Then that 'bit rich' the other day said that those on UC and PIP spend the money on booze, cigarettes and gambling, none of which I have 'indulged in' in my entire life. if she dared come to my door and started to try saying that, she'd get a damn ear full that she wouldn't forget in a hurry. I was really fit, I'm only semi-ambulatory now. You're not living your own life when you're caring for an invalid. You're helping someone else live at the expense of your own and that severely drains you.”
“Such a breath of fresh air. Thank you team”
“I pray for a day we can go back this scale of corruption!”
“"The Strait of Warm Ooze, as the Reflecting Pool is now to be known . . .”
“Fyi ...Southampton fans used too chant Rupert Lowe's a wa__er when he was Chairman of the Club....”
“After seeing videos of Trump in various situations, I suddenly realised who he reminds me off, President Idi Amin of Uganda, though I appreciate he was around it's before most of you youngsters at the Eye were born. 1) Awarding himself medals and titles, "His Excellency, President for Life, Field Marshal Al Hadji Doctor Idi Amin Dada, VC, DSO, MC, CBE, Lord of All the Beasts of the Earth and Fishes of the Seas and Conqueror of the British Empire in Africa in General and Uganda in Particular" He made up the VC aka "Victorious Cross" on Planet Idi. 2) Starting and finishing wars, Amin declared war on the USA, then the next day announced Uganda's victory 3) Random thoughts and opinions in speeches 4) People in his country lived in fear of him”
“Ummm, do these companies want to slow down to protect us all, or to explain away why they are hemorrhaging money, and more time to offload the losses onto us? 🤔”
“I didn't really follow the logic of "building council houses will be difficult in London, because private developers struggle to balance the cost of building in London whilst providing affordable housing and the enhanced fire safety features following Grenfell"... isn't that because the developers are building to sell units at market, therefore giving themselves a profit? Council homes are created to be owned by the state, although the actual build would be tendered out to private developers. Surely the cost (and risk, which I suppose is built into the developers cost calcuations for their private projects) for state-owned housing will be lower, because planning will be dealt with by the state, guaranteed purchase, and doesn't need to appeal to the market with trendy finishes or complimentary gimmicks like gyms?”
“Did he not say, when elected, that he was going to drain the swamp? Seems pretty ironic to have created one on their front lawn.”
“I’m always baffled by the idea (pushed by the opposition to any Social Care reform) that somehow the status quo is free. We are all paying for this broken system right now…… why don’t we reform it and pay for a much better system!”
“As they say…. Britain is a republic pretending to be a monarchy. America is a monarchy pretending to be a republic.”
“Rupert Lowe isn't the smartest suit in the shop 🙄🇬🇧🏴”
“How about the Romans? I mean, what did they ever do for us? Apart from found London (43 AD), build roads (over 10,000 miles of them, including the A1, A41, A68), coins, plumbing (aqueducts and sewers) and literacy. Good thing they buggered off then.”
“Private Eye is the only publication in Britain that matters”
“And now I hope someone sets up a Subway-esque chain called Build-a-Burger.”
“How did I not know that the was a Private Eye podcast?”
“Oh dear. The relationships between the orange fool & Harp and Harold Wilson & Marcia Falkender do not bear comparison. Wilson resigned when he had a diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease. Falkender was an educated, proficient private secretary, political secretary & head of office to the PM. Harp is a sad sycophant with dubious intentions & possibly mentally unwell. And as for her 'boss', well.......”
“Not only does a promise of pardons liberate Trump accolites to do anything, irrespective of law but it also puts them utterly under his control.”
“Never forget Little Rishi stood up in front of the Glasgow COP crowd to claim Climate Change could be beaten by ' Growth ', you can't make this shyt up.”
“Socialized funding, privatized gains. The Ai bubble is the biggest scam right now. We survived before Ai,we'll survive after Ai. The biggest disservice the government can do is put tax payer dollars to this crap.”
“It did baffle me the surrender of the World Service. Another example of soft power being something that only happens to other people, apparently.”

Vote for the bin, not for the rubbish...
Make your vote Count, put it in the Bin!
Vote for the bin, clean up politics.
May I suggest that overseas people with criminal convictions pertaining to financial crimes should not be permitted to donate to political parties.
Hes furious? Of course, it's the first time he has ever got any push back. The media has fellated him for years.
People of Clacton have a clear choice: vote for an absolute clown, who doesn't care about Clacton and who is only in this for himself... or vote for Count Binface.
On the first point about Burnhams communication. We've just observed the "traditional lobby/media" effectively destroy a perfectly boring prime minister, and didn't have the pathway to counteract the narrative once it had begun, (nor the ability to communicate at all really). By establishing from the start, that you have your own methods of disseminating policy, you regain control of the narrative. It's what Trump did, and now the MSM in the US just has to play catch up to his 2am rage tweets or whatever. I don't think the media lobby has done Labour any favours, and binning that off isn't surprising at all.
Petition for Ian to be on Hot Ones.
Thank goodness for The Eye.
