25 years ago I attended a symposium on health care investing with portfolio managers as they main audience...A key note speaker from a big Pharma firm made his point crystal clear, "We are NOT in the business of funding research for cures, we are in the business of funding research for TREATMENTS".... Does anyone need a clearer understanding what motivates big Pharma than that???
