In the first part of the MV, I think the car accident caused the man to develop PTSD and depression, maybe because he lost his friend. The story doesn’t only show his pain, but also the woman’s fear and anxiety — especially when he doesn’t answer the phone. When the lyrics say “I’m falling in your blue,” I feel like it means she falls into his sadness and tries to carry it with him, until it becomes too heavy and she starts drowning too. In the end, I think she chooses herself. Not because she stopped loving him, but because love alone isn’t enough to survive this kind of pain. “Still love you” makes it even more heartbreaking.*
