For those who don't know Lay's situation and compared it with Jackson and other chinese idols... FYI, Jackson is from Hongkong, a special administrative state, so his korean activities are not that affected with the tension between China and Korea. Other chinese idols are not yet have big popularity and brand.. Unlike Lay. He is already a prominent celebrity in mainland China AND a communist youth representative... A very big honor as a citizen. So he can't act recklessly... I heard he and his family received death threats before for still being with a korean band (EXO). Yes.. The THAAD ban has been lifted... BUT the tension is still there. It's complicated situation.. So This comeback is SM testing the water.. Lay is being in the same frame as the korean members and participate again ARE A BIG DEAL. So let's appreciate this moment.. Hopefully the tension is completely dissolve in the near future, and Lay can comeback to promote with his korean brothers.
