Hello Jane, Your in-laws will never understand you.. Theirs is the twisted notion of the Filipino family ties.. Sobrang close nila kaya wala silang boundary.. They have no respect for you and your relationship with your husband.. They are enablers.. kaya ganyan ang asawa mo..so it's a waste of time trying to talk to them and make them understand.. Save your energy for your children.. Your dream was to have a perfect family for your children kasi nga you said that you come from a broken family.. But you know what? There is no such thing as perfect family.. 90% percent of families are dysfunctional and the 10% are recovering.. So all we can do is to focus on Self and recover.. and hopefully become a part of the 10% ... They can't see how strong you are because they only see your tears.. Unfortunately, sometimes we have to hit rock bottom in order to find our way... and there's no other way but up.. You and your precious children will rise up.. You don't need your husband and his family.. How arrogant for that woman to say she will never forgive you.. You don't need their forgiveness because you have done nothing wrong to them.. Forgive yourself for giving others permission to hurt you.. and then move on .. You can do it.. You've hit rock bottom and now you are on your way up.. It's not going to be easy, but the harder you work at it, the easier life becomes.. Your children will be your strength and inspiration.. Huwag kang manghinayang iha na mawalan ng ama ang mga anak mo kung ganyan din lang ang klase ng ama.. The best fathers I know are mothers .. and you will be.. because you are strong and you want the best for your children... I hope you come across this comment..
