Chicken tikka masala is not actually from the UK, its from India/Pakistan but considering that they colonized half the planet, they claim it to be "their" dish idk why. Guys this is a comment section, please be nice and mature... Edit 2: When reading through the comments I have seen many comments regarding how it was made by an immigrant in the UK so maybe but my point is that it just doesn't sound like a British dish with "Masala" in it. Im learning this along the way so thanks guys. Edit 3: It was made when a Pakistani moved to Glasgow and opened an indian restaurant due to the immense demand for indian food. In his curry, he didnt have any tomatoes left, so instead he poured canned tomato soup! That's how it was originally created so something made by a Pakistani in an Indian restaurant in the UK seems like we have to differentiate between Nature and Origin. If we look at Nature, its Pakistani, if we look at Origin bcz it was made in the UK, its British. But my opinion is that it is Pakistani. Edit 4: So according to 99% of the comments, it was made in Scotland. Thank you guys so much, I've learned a lot.
