“I wouldn't call it unconditional love. I also wouldn't call it post partum, like someone said in the comments. Nature doesn't have the comforts and aren't emotional first like humans. Nature has to think survival first. Humans love to attach emotions to the actions of animals, but animals listen to their survival instincts almost 💯 of the the time. Humans are emotionally based and are after comfort over survival nearly 💯 of the time. Just the way it is. Getting rid of the baby bird was the mom realizing she'll lose all 3 if she doesn't do something, so rather than that happening she cast the runt, the least likely to survive, from her nest. We can't know for sure how the bird feels about it, but I would also like to think she regrets it, wishing she had the ability to keep all 3 with her. Alas, without human intervention or her mate picking up the slack if he isn't already, she had to let him go.”

“I thought that was a lantern shark, goblin sharks are large and gray colored, a lantern shark is black and also has a pop out jaw, they do not get bigger then that. Please check your facts before you post (i studied lantern sharks when i was in school but i may not have all my facts right)”
