“As someone who can't spend money on basic requirements, due to be being pressured to not over spend by parents. I would be pissed. I will be like "All the time you could have given me things I needed but decided to give me stress of being broke. The pressure of getting family out of debt, I no longer desire such family".”

“Just to clarify building developers do sell renovated rooms or even furnished rooms. But most Chinese people prefer these bare rooms as they are considered new for investment purposes. When it comes to selling properties second hand a bare bones apartment can be sold as new, while renovated apartments are sold as used. So many people do live in these types of apartments to preserve its value. Basic renovations are cheap in China as labour and materials are cheap.”
