There is an EXTREMELY NICHE use for recovery compasses in Hardcore mode. Because having one held in your inventory without dying causes the compass to spin erratically, holding one can prove that you are really playing in hardcore mode in clips you share online.
Waxed signs are nice for storage systems. If you have a sign next to or on your chests you will accidentally click it pretty frequently. It’s a small quality of life thing.
