“Such an open game. Fulham had it in their grasp to kill off this game today and claim all 3 points. Fulham still have a massive defence issue. The same players in Marco Silva's setup did a pretty good job in defence over the last few seasons. Now, with the whole team playing so deep constantly, it's no wonder big gaps in the defence are going to happen. Really hoping the whole team and coaching staff can sort this issue out ASAP. Letting in 7 goals in 3 games is a real issue of concern. If Fulham are insistent on the left and right backs playing so deep, the team is better off playing a 5-2-3 formation . Allowing the wing-backs to run up and down the channel and retain 3 flexible defenders at the back. This still allows 7 players to press high and make their attacking runs. And on counters, the wing-backs can still provide defensive cover, as they try to do now. Best of luck for the next game against Liverpool!”
